Costa Teguise is Lanzarote's middle ground: quieter than Puerto del Carmen, livelier than a village and about 14 km from the airport. It is also windy, so choose the beach first. Most of its hotels face Las Cucharas, the windsurfing beach; El Jablillo is the sheltered one. Book THB Lanzarote Beach for families on the sand, Alexandre Teguise Playa for calm water, Paradisus Salinas for adults-only five-star and Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort for sport.

Take the first row that fits and book it. Costa Teguise sells into the same winter-sun and school-holiday weeks as the rest of the island, and today's rate is not held while you compare.

For how Costa Teguise compares with Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen as a base, see our best hotels in Lanzarote guide; if you want more bars and a shorter transfer, our Puerto del Carmen hotels guide covers the resort ten minutes from the airport.
THB Lanzarote Beach
The family all-rounder. THB Lanzarote Beach is a four-star hotel at Plaza Janubio 2 with direct access to Playa de las Cucharas. It was previously called Be Live Experience Lanzarote Beach, and some listings still use that name.
It has 237 rooms, from 20 m² doubles to 37 m² junior suites, and the main pool, which has a children's area, is heated in the cooler months. There is a miniclub, an entertainment programme and a gym, with a buffet, an à la carte restaurant and a snack bar.
It is not all-inclusive only: THB sells all-inclusive, half board, bed and breakfast and room only, so check the board on your rate. Book it if you want to walk from the lobby onto the sand with children. Check current rates for THB Lanzarote Beach.
Alexandre Teguise Playa
The calm-water booking. Alexandre Teguise Playa is a four-star, all-inclusive hotel on the beachfront of El Jablillo, the sheltered beach in the resort's quiet residential area; older listings call it Grand Teguise Playa.
It has two seawater pools for adults, one of them heated, and a children's pool, and a daytime and evening entertainment programme. The Miniclub for ages 4 to 12 runs only at Christmas, Easter, from 15 June to 15 September and in the second half of October. Suites on the lower floors add premium all-inclusive and an adults-only lounge.
The restaurant has a dinner dress code: no flip-flops, swimwear or sleeveless shirts for men. Book it if gentle water matters more than being in the middle of things. Check current rates for Alexandre Teguise Playa.
One catch for families: the hotel's own site says it welcomes couples and families, but Booking.com currently treats it as adults only and answers a search with a child by saying the children have nowhere to sleep. Couples can book it there; with children, confirm the room on the hotel's own site first.
Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote or Barceló Teguise Beach?
Costa Teguise has two strong adults-only hotels, and the choice comes down to five stars or a hot tub of your own. Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote is a five-star, all-inclusive resort for adults aged 16 and over, designed by the architect Fernando Higueras with César Manrique, around lagoon-style saltwater pools and tropical gardens.
Booking.com measures the nearest beach at about 10 metres. Paradisus has four restaurants and three bars, and its Reserve category adds suites and villas, some with their own heated pool. Check current rates for Paradisus Salinas if you want a five-star all-inclusive with Manrique's hand in the design.
Barceló Teguise Beach is the 18+ four-star, 150 metres from Las Cucharas and next door to THB Lanzarote Beach on Plaza Janubio. Its draw is that most of its 305 rooms have their own hot tub. Book it if a stricter age line and a tub on the terrace beat a fifth star. For 16+ and 18+ hotels across the island, see our Lanzarote adults-only hotels guide.
Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort
The sports booking. Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort is a four-star at Avenida del Mar 6, formed from the former Occidental Lanzarote Mar and Occidental Lanzarote Playa, with direct access to the natural Playa del Ancla cove.
Its sports facilities are the reason to book: a heated 10-lane Olympic pool (charged extra), a professional cycling centre and a programme of up to 450 training sessions. There is a children's pool and family rooms, and the resort sells all-inclusive. Barceló Lanzarote Royal Level is a hotel within the resort, with its own pools and restaurants.
The trade is distance: Barceló puts Las Cucharas 4.2 km away and Playa Bastián 2.5 km. Book it if training or teenagers who need burning out matter more than a beach day. Check current rates for Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort.
Costa Teguise hotels with a kitchen
H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens is the family pick if you want to cook some meals. H10 places it 250 metres from Playa de las Cucharas, with 34 m² suites with a kitchenette and two-level bungalows with a full kitchen. It has two pools and a children's pool with slides, a kids' and teens' programme, and an all-inclusive option.
Hotel Siroco is a three-star, adults-only (18+) apartment hotel about 500 metres from Las Cucharas, inside the Club Siroco complex, every apartment with a kitchen. Club Santa Rosa is the family self-catering choice near the calmer Playa Bastián: three-star apartments with a pool heated in the cooler months, padel and mini-golf.
Why the beach matters more than the stars here
Put Costa Teguise's hotels on a map and most of them face the same sand. THB Lanzarote Beach, Barceló Teguise Beach, H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens and Hotel Siroco all sit within 500 metres of Las Cucharas, the beach that suits windsurfers better than toddlers on a breezy day.
The sheltered water is elsewhere: El Jablillo, in front of Alexandre Teguise Playa, and Playa Bastián, near Club Santa Rosa. So in Costa Teguise, the first question for a family is not four stars or five but which beach the hotel opens onto, and how much wind you are happy to sit in.
When to book a Costa Teguise hotel
Check the extras against your dates. Aquapark Costa Teguise closes for the winter in early November, as our Lanzarote water parks guide explains, and check that the kids' club runs in your week, since Alexandre's does not run all year. Heated pools at THB, Alexandre and Santa Rosa matter more from November to March.
The airport is about 14–16 km, or 15–20 minutes, away. Costa Teguise is also where the most-booked off-road volcano buggy tour starts, so active families can pair it with the Barceló resort's pools.
