Lanzarote has three water parks, one in each main resort, and the time of year decides between them. Aquapark Costa Teguise is the biggest, from ~€28 for adults, but it closes for the winter after 8 November and its pools are unheated. Aqualava in Playa Blanca (~€30) and Aqua Rancho, inside Rancho Texas Park in Puerto del Carmen, open all year with heated pools. In summer and autumn, book Costa Teguise; in winter, Aqualava.

Which Lanzarote water park is best?
The three parks differ on season, heating and what the ticket covers more than on slides. These are each park's own 2026 prices.
| Aquapark | Aqualava | Aqua Rancho | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resort | Costa Teguise | Playa Blanca | Puerto del Carmen |
| Adult | ~€28 | ~€30 | ~€45, whole park |
| Child | ~€19 (4–12) | ~€20 (3–14) | ~€30 (3–12) |
| Season | 29 Mar–8 Nov | All year | All year |
| Pools | Unheated | Heated | Heated |
Book Aquapark Costa Teguise between June and early November if you want the biggest park: it calls itself the largest on Lanzarote, at about 22,000 m².
Book Aqualava from November to March, if you are staying in Playa Blanca, or if your children are 13 or 14: its child ticket runs to age 14. Choose Aqua Rancho only if you also want the animal park, since the ~€45 covers the whole of Rancho Texas.
Aquapark Costa Teguise: what the ticket covers
The GetYourGuide ticket is sold by the park itself at its gate price: ~€28 for adults aged 13–64 and ~€19 for children aged 4–12, with entry, pools, slides and a sunbed. The big slides are the Kamikaze and the Whirlwind, with the Hydrotube for the less brave, and younger children get a children's Kamikaze and a small lagoon with games.
Food, drinks and lockers are not included, and you cannot bring your own food or drink in. Sunbeds and lockers are limited and cannot be reserved. A half-day ticket from 14:00 costs ~€20 for adults. Booking on the park's own site saves 8%; GetYourGuide adds free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead.
Parking is free. The park's own bus collects from Puerto del Carmen for €7 per person, and Arrecife Bus lines 01, 03 and 25 reach Costa Teguise from Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero.
Two rules catch families out: children under 12 must be with an adult, and adults and children cannot ride the slides together. Pregnant women cannot use the rides, and cameras, GoPros included, are banned on the slides.
Aqualava: the water park that opens all winter
Aqualava, in Playa Blanca, opens every day of the year, 10:00–18:00 in summer and 10:00–17:00 in winter. Its pools are heated with geothermal energy, and its saltwater pool, Aqualava Beach, is the only one on Lanzarote, according to the park.
It is smaller than Aquapark. The Timan Fire zone has five slides for riders of 120 cm and over, Corsario Bay is a children's area for 60–150 cm, and the Magma River is a lazy river. One reviewer suggests planning on four or five hours rather than a full day.
Prices and reviews
The Aqualava entrance ticket costs ~€30 for adults, ~€20 for children aged 3–14 and ~€23 for over-65s, with under-3s free. It is rated about 4★ on GetYourGuide, below Aquapark: reviewers like the short queues and the clean park, and the main complaint is the price of food, which you cannot bring in. Lockers cost €5.
Getting there
Buy direct from Aqualava and you get a free bus from Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, or Monday to Friday in July and August. The GetYourGuide ticket with transfer, ~€42, is new with no reviews yet and has no return transfer for guests staying in Playa Blanca.
Is there a water park in Puerto del Carmen?
Yes: Aqua Rancho, inside Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park, a Wild West-themed animal park. There is no separate water park ticket. The ~€45 adult and ~€30 child (3–12) ticket covers the whole park, including the dolphin, sea lion and bird presentations, and is valid for a year from purchase. It is sold on the park's website, not on GetYourGuide.
The pools are heated and open all year, with a family pool sloping gently from 0 to 140 cm, but the slides only open 12:30–17:00. Outside food and drink are not allowed. The park shuttle is free from Puerto del Carmen, €6 per person from Costa Teguise and €7 from Playa Blanca.
What does a family day cost?
Ticket prices for two adults and two children at each park's 2026 rates. The age bands change the order: Aquapark and Rancho Texas charge adult prices from 13, Aqualava from 15.
| Park | Children 6 and 9 | Children 8 and 13 |
|---|---|---|
| Aquapark Costa Teguise | ~€94 | ~€103 |
| Aqualava | ~€100 | ~€100 |
| Rancho Texas (Aqua Rancho) | ~€150 | ~€165 |
Food is the cost the table leaves out. None of the three parks lets you bring your own, so budget for lunch at the park.
Lanzarote Aquarium: the rainy-day add-on
The Lanzarote Aquarium ticket costs ~€16 for adults and ~€11 for children aged 4–12, the same as on the aquarium's own site, with under-4s free. The aquarium, in Costa Teguise, has 33 tanks holding about a million litres of water, sharks and rays in its open-sea section, and the island's sea turtle rehabilitation centre.
It is the backup for a cloudy day, or for Costa Teguise in winter when Aquapark is closed. For the rest of the island's family days out, see our best Lanzarote excursions guide and the Lanzarote boat trip guide. Comparing islands? Tenerife's big one is covered in our Siam Park guide.
